West Gippsland Arts Centre

Harmer Architecture prepared a site masterplan outlining the relationship between the existing Arts Centre and the Civic precinct and options for improvements. The works were divided into 3 stages and Harmer Architecture undertook stages 1 and 2.

Stage 1 involved a new cafe / bar with external deck and new management offices as well as improved access and new ticket box and entrance. The existing foyers space has been re configured to provide a new exhibition area and function room. Stage 2 of the upgrade involved new mechanical and fire services and upgrading dressing rooms and the lower level function room. Stage 3 includes conceptual design for balcony seating and further foyer improvement to VAPAC benchmark standards.
