Ararat Art Gallery

Harmer Architecture prepared the project brief for the redevelopment of the Ararat Performing Arts Centre and new Regional Gallery in October 2008. Part of this brief was to explore siting options available for the location of the new Gallery and provide a recommendation. The Performing Arts Centre is located in the historical former Ararat Town Hall in Market Square in which development is controlled by a Conservation Management Plan.

The study proposed detailed design and costing for the new gallery including a specific focus on the storage needs of the Gallery’s unique textile collection.
